Good Morning Resident Officers from the Neighbourhood Beat Team and Local Policing Team attended a report of a stolen wood chipper, which had been taken overnight from the Sevenoaks area. An area search was conducted at a possible location, where it was shortly found concealed within a hedgerow. The wood chipper was recovered and returned to its rightful owner. Residents and businesses are encouraged to review the following steps to help prevent the theft of tools and machinery: Secure machinery and tools with robust locks, chains, or ground anchors when not in use.Consider fitting tracking devices, alarms, or immobilisers to valuable equipment.Remove keys from vehicles and machinery and ensure items are locked away whenever possible.Mark tools and machinery with your postcode and house number, and keep a record of serial numbers.Store equipment out of sight, ideally in a locked building or compound, and consider the use of CCTV or security lighting to deter thieves.Have a good week PC Collins
